Personal Project
Mobile Disco UnitOngoing
The Mobile Disco Unit (or MDU) was devised as a way to get people dancing whenever and wherever. Inspired by Jamaicaan streets and dancehall systems, this device has been deployed in desolate deserts, Baja beach breaks, warehouse parties, and everywhere in-between. The unit is deployed not by a DJ, but by a technician, delivering sonic beauty wherever necessary.
The MDU was built in Fusion CAD Software and cut on a CNC. The final product was assembled with ACX ply and waxed for moisture resistance.
The identity is inspired by building materials and utility systems, with a stencil logo that can easily spray painted on any part of the unit.
